A love for speaking without a love for whom you’re speaking to is futile. More important than eloquence or personality is a high regard for Scripture.

As Taylor puts it, “I’m not doing this because I like the sound of my own voice. That’s what stand-up is for. I’m doing it to show people how amazing my God is and how much better a life spent with Him is.”

Taylor began a transition from stand-up to preaching a few years back by ending his comedy with a somewhat serious moment to reflect on Jesus. Taylor has been preaching for youth groups, youth camps, and Sunday morning services for the past several years.
