Vomit in Love, a Christmas Love Song
I wrote a song.
Well, I kinda wrote a song.
I wrote some lyrics. I sat down and purposefully tried to write the dumbest and worst lyrics for a song. Then I asked my friend David Hale (a truly wonderful man) if he could turn them into a beautiful song. I wanted him to treat it like it was serious. And he did. And it’s INCREDIBLE!
And I want you to hear it.
I always feel weird promoting stuff I've made but I'm genuinely so excited about this thing. I love this song. I can't stop listening to it. It's so funny to me to hear a really talented musician sing my dumb dumb words with such passion.
AND IT'S SO CATCHY! This is the new hit Christmas song we'll all be listening to all season long.
I can not express enough how much I love the song I got to make with David Hale. It started out as this silly little idea and now it's legitimately one of my favorite songs to listen to this season.
"But I was sick with a virus" is the funniest thing to hear sung as a serious dramatic line.
Also, a HUGE thank you to my brother, Drew Johnson, for mixing the song and adding so much to the quality. There's a little detail he added to the bridge that I didn't notice the first few times I heard it but on one listen through it stuck out and I laughed for 5 minutes.
If I could wish for to have one talent it would be music or singing. Or break dancing. How cool would it be if secretly I was an AMAZING breakdancer? But I never told anybody. Until one day I busted out my moves and blew everyone away. Women and children would be passing out. The mayor would give me a key to the city because of my bravery in breakdancing.
